Frequently asked questions
The questions we hear most.
We are a vertically integrated Louisiana industrial hemp company. We grow and source non-consumable industrial hemp, process it into fiber, hurd, and biochar, manufacture hempcrete building materials, and deliver finished hempcrete structures through our affiliate Hyperion Group. That full path is what we mean by seed to structure.
No. Delta AgroFiber works in non-consumable industrial hemp: fiber, hurd, seed genetics, biochar, and building materials. Our lane is industrial materials, not consumable products.
We supply regionally selected cultivars at no upfront seed cost, provide agronomic and harvest support, and sign a guaranteed purchase agreement for your qualifying harvest. The program targets 500 acres for the 2026 season, with a target payment of roughly $480 per acre to growers. Exact terms are confirmed in your grower agreement before planting.
A single hemp crop produces inputs that substitute for timber, cotton, oil, and concrete. It yields more fiber per acre than trees, needs far less water than cotton, and its hurd becomes hempcrete, a carbon-negative wall system that keeps storing carbon as it cures.
Hempcrete is a bio-based wall and insulation material made from hemp hurd and lime. It is breathable, fire-resistant, and carbon-negative. Delta supplies the material and Hyperion Group provides the sealed structural design and construction, delivering finished buildings rather than just handing off product.
Our affiliate Magnolia Biochar converts hemp biomass into stable biochar, storing roughly 2.7 tonnes of CO2 per tonne of biochar carbon. That supports verified carbon credits in addition to the materials revenue, so the same crop earns on both fronts.

Delta AgroFiber is based in Mandeville, Louisiana, and works with growers and partners across the Gulf South.
